Last week we celebrated when the first tractor-trailer of One Warm Coat items arrived in Western North Carolina as part of our Disaster Relief initiative following Hurricane Helene.
Thank you to Ridwell for donating 20 pallets of gently worn outerwear and denim, and to UACL Logistics for transporting the donations from the midwest to our nonprofit partners in the impacted areas. More items have also been donated to nonprofit partners in NC, TN, and GA by our friends at Girlfriend Collective and Turtle Fur.
One Warm Coat is working with wholesalers, manufacturers, and retailers through the Zero Waste Initiative to secure donations for those impacted by Hurricanes Helene and Milton.
Because of the logistical challenges and disruptions in the affected areas, our local nonprofit partners do not wish for you to ship clothing donations directly to them at this time.
Instead, please consider organizing a coat drive to share warmth with children and adults in need in your local community.
