One Warm Coat provides volunteer opportunities for individuals and organizations to hold successful coat drives that help local children and adults in need.

When you register, you’ll receive:

• A customizable coat drive webpage
• Promotional resources and tools
• Access to vetted local nonprofit partners for coat distribution
• Support from the One Warm Coat team

You collect coats and/or financial donations and select a local nonprofit partner to distribute the coats free of charge to people in need in your community.

One Warm Coat partners with nearly 2,000 nonprofit organizations and schools across the United States to provide free coats to children and adults in need.

There is no cost to join One Warm Coat’s nonprofit network. Approved partners are included on our Nonprofit Partner Map, helping connect local coat drive organizers with organizations in need of coats.

When you’re ready to register, you can do so here. After you complete your registration, a Welcome Kit will be emailed to you with all of the information needed to hold a successful coat drive. (If you do not receive a welcome email within a few minutes of submitting your registration, please check your spam folder.)

A Remote-Friendly Coat Drive makes it easy for people to participate no matter where they live or work.

Instead of collecting coats at a single physical location, participants can support your drive in two ways:

• Make a financial donation through your custom coat drive webpage (every $1 donated warms 1 person)
• Donate coats to a One Warm Coat drive in their local community

This option is a great solution for organizations that have remote employees, multiple office locations, or nationwide audiences.

Just like a traditional coat drive, you’ll receive a customizable coat drive webpage, promotional resources, and support from the One Warm Coat team. You can register here.

Along with coats, you are welcome to collect other outerwear items such as gloves, hats, scarves, mittens, and hoodies.

Anyone who makes a financial donation to One Warm will receive an email with an official tax receipt, if you made a donation and did not receive an email, please let us know.

If you or someone you know wants a tax receipt for donating a coat, you can visit this link to download and print as many copies as you need, or simply share the link with the donor.

No, One Warm Coat is not a grant-making organization. Any funds raised for One Warm Coat through One Warm Coat’s website or a third party fundraising platform, stay with One Warm Coat and support our programs.

While we care deeply about providing warmth, One Warm Coat does not distribute coats directly to individuals. Please click here for assistance.
