National Share the Warmth Day
October 21, 2025
National Share the Warmth Day, observed annually on the third Tuesday in October, is a nationwide day of awareness and action dedicated to ensuring everyone has access to the warmth, comfort, and protection they need to thrive. This day mobilizes individuals and organizations across the country to donate coats, hold coat drives, and make financial donations to share warmth with children and adults in need. Since its inception, Share the Warmth Day has inspired thousands of acts of kindness and provided hundreds of thousands of coats to people experiencing poverty. Together, we can turn compassion into action and create a warmer, more equitable world—one coat at a time.
Give money. Every $1 donated warms one person and shares kindness and comfort with someone in need. On 10/21 all donations will be matched by OWC’s Board of Directors, up to $33,000!
Give coats. Clean out your closets and search by zip code to find a place near you to drop off coats.
Give time. Organize a coat drive for children and adults in need in your community.
