Rev. Deborah Chambers is Vice President, Development and Partnerships for Central Union Mission in Washington, D.C. Rev. Chambers is responsible for the overall administration of activities and operations related to partnership building, communications, development, community engagement and relationship management. She joined the Mission in May 2008 with over 25 years’ experience in financial planning, sales and strategy development. She previously served as executive director and campaign manager for two multimillion-dollar capital campaigns in which she helped to raise over $30 million. Prior to that she was a financial planner with American Express Financial Services where she marketed and negotiated financial planning packages, securities and insurance policies. She is an ordained associate pastor at First Baptist Church of Glenarden (Glenarden, MD) where she has served in a variety of ministry roles during the last 20 years.
