We’re celebrating the start of summer by remembering how much warmth was spread this past winter! If you haven’t already done so, please check out our 2016/17 Annual Report to see the impact our Ambassadors and Donors had:

  • 3,555 coat drives held
  • Coat drives held in every state and 6 countries
  • 599,487 people warmed!

Our Annual Report highlights the many types of individuals and groups that hold coat drives, groups like Gene Witt Elementary School in Florida:

Our goal for Gene Witt Elementary School was 200 coats! The Turning Points agency representative spoke to all of our 4th graders before our drive started stressing the need for coats for the Manatee County homeless. We made posters, had collection bins in each building, and made signs to carry at the car rider area where students are dropped off every morning. Fourth grade students went on our school wide television news channel to report our progress each day. The 4th graders collected coats and counted each day as the coats were brought in. Each day brought smiles to their faces and urged them on to collect more and more! We couldn’t believe the generosity of our school community! 930 coats…..WOW!
